The LaVell Edwards Stadium district — stadium landmarks and the Museum of Paleontology. Exact shortest walking order on real path-network distances (BRouter), solved with Held–Karp and confirmed by exhaustive brute force. Every gym within ~1 km is plotted in red for context — zoom out to see them all.

Loop or line? The loop returns to the start; start at any gym — numbering is anchored at BYU Museum of Paleontology for reference. The line runs Courtyard Fountain → BYU Seat Initials at LaVell Edwards Stadium and saves 688 m over the loop.
Verified. The audit confirmed every leg's distance matches its drawn path, the totals add up, and all street crossings happen at signals or marked crosswalks. One conservative quirk: between the Paleontology Museum and the stadium's west side, Canyon Road has no mid-block crosswalk, so the route legally doubles back to the University Parkway signal — if you cross the street directly at the museum path you'll walk roughly 90 m less than the posted loop total.
Origin. Found as rank #4 in the BYU-area route search: closed loops hitting 7+ gyms in a 30-minute walk, searched across a 3 km radius around campus.
Method. Distances are the per-pair minimum of BRouter's hiking-mountain and shortest profiles plus a metric-closure pass. Gym data: PokeScrapper capture through 2026-07-07. Buildings and paths: OpenStreetMap.
